What are you trying to do with the Input that isn't working?

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

marcsusy,

Inputs are difficult to action with a click - this is the only way I know to do it:

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WinAPI.au3>

Global $cInput

Example()

Func Example()

    Opt("GUICoordMode", 2)
    Opt("GUIResizeMode", 1)
    Opt("GUIOnEventMode", 1)

    GUICreate("Parent1")
    GUISetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_CLOSE, "SpecialEvents")
    GUISetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_MINIMIZE, "SpecialEvents")
    GUISetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_RESTORE, "SpecialEvents")
    GUISetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_PRIMARYUP, "OKPressed")

    $cInput = GUICtrlCreateInput("Input1", 16, 64, 121, 21)
    ConsoleWrite("Input ControlID = " & $cInput & @CRLF)
    GUICtrlSetOnEvent(-1, "OKPressed")

    GUICtrlCreateButton("OK", 10, 30, 50)
    GUICtrlSetOnEvent(-1, "OKPressed")
    GUICtrlCreateButton("Cancel", 0, -1)
    GUICtrlSetOnEvent(-1, "CancelPressed")
    GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)

    While 1
        Sleep(10)
    WEnd
EndFunc   ;==>Example

Func OKPressed()
    If _WinAPI_GetFocus() = GUICtrlGetHandle($cInput) Then
        MsgBox(0, "OK Pressed", "ID=" & $cInput & " WinHandle=" & @GUI_WinHandle & " CtrlHandle=" & GUICtrlGetHandle($cInput))
    Else
        MsgBox(0, "OK Pressed", "ID=" & @GUI_CtrlId & " WinHandle=" & @GUI_WinHandle & " CtrlHandle=" & @GUI_CtrlHandle)
    EndIf
EndFunc   ;==>OKPressed

Func CancelPressed()
    MsgBox(0, "Cancel Pressed", "ID=" & @GUI_CtrlId & " WinHandle=" & @GUI_WinHandle & " CtrlHandle=" & @GUI_CtrlHandle)
EndFunc   ;==>CancelPressed

Func SpecialEvents()
    Select
        Case @GUI_CtrlId = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            MsgBox(0, "Close Pressed", "ID=" & @GUI_CtrlId & " WinHandle=" & @GUI_WinHandle)
            Exit
        Case @GUI_CtrlId = $GUI_EVENT_MINIMIZE
            MsgBox(0, "Window Minimized", "ID=" & @GUI_CtrlId & " WinHandle=" & @GUI_WinHandle)
        Case @GUI_CtrlId = $GUI_EVENT_RESTORE
            MsgBox(0, "Window Restored", "ID=" & @GUI_CtrlId & " WinHandle=" & @GUI_WinHandle)
    EndSelect
EndFunc   ;==>SpecialEvents

Please ask if you have any questions (other than why inputs act like this). :)

P.S. When you post code please use Code tags - put [autoit] before and [/autoit] after your posted code. Then you get a scrolling box as you can see above now I have added the tags. ;)

PlayHD,

What you say about...

I say: "Very clever" - as I always do with MrCreatoR's UDFs. ;)
