FileCreateShortcut PATH double quotes strip

Hi

how to strip FileCreateShortcut target path double quotes as its givng me trouble while executing short cut

i tried stringreplace but not workin

string is not containing any quotes its FileCreateShortcut which adds double quotes

Where is it adding the double quotes, and what error are you getting when you try to run the program using the shortcut?


If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

like i wanted to create FileCreateShortcut(' %WINDIR%' &'myapp.exe', ........ file shorcut is created with path but not vaild to run actually there is no need to add double quotes it works even without double quotes i need to strip that ?

FileCreateShortcut this function adding double quotes for trageted location

hope u get my point poor english : :graduated:

this exactly FileCreateShortcut doing i have no clue how to filter double quotes upon call

func FileCreateShortcut($myvar)
$myvar = '"' & $myvar &'"'
endfunc

in simple words i dont want FileCreateShortcut to add double quotes for target location

This works fine for me...

FileCreateShortcut('%WINDIR%' & 'regedit.exe', @DesktopDir & "RegEdit.lnk")

well not for me double quotes is creating trouble btw can u please tell me how i can filter i tried

FileCreateShortcut(StringReplace($mypath, '"', '')) not working

omg im such ......... i totally ignored args parameter :P it start work working now i just place parameter in args section and it start working
