rpolito30
I thought the DirCopy command was suppose to copy all files and folders but it only copies the files in folder listed in the command. If the destination folder doesn't exist the folder never gets copied. Is this correct?

Belini
DirCopy copy the directory without having to create the destination folder and rename the destination folder if you need too.Taken from the Autoit HELP source dir Path of the source directory (with no trailing backslash). e.g. "C:Path1" dest dir Path of the destination dir (with no trailing backslash). e.g. "C:Path_Copy" flag [optional] this flag determines whether to overwrite file if they already exist: 0 = (default) do not overwrite existing files 1 = overwrite existing files My Codes: Virtual Key Code UDF: http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/138246-virtual-key-code-udf/ GuiSplashTextOn.au3: http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/143542-guisplashtexton-udf/ Menu versions of Autoit: http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/137435-menu-versions-of-autoit/#entry962011 Selects first folder of letters: ]http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/144780-select-folders-by-letter/#entry1021708/spoiler] List files and folders with long addresses.: http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/144910-list-files-and-folders-with-long-addresses/#entry102 2926 Program JUKEBOX made in Autoit:some functions:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJ2tC2fD5Qs Navigation to search:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lblwOFIbgtQ
Moderators Melba23 Posted August 29, 2013 Moderators Share Posted August 29, 2013 rpolito30,Are you trying to copy a folder structure onto an already existing (even if only in part) structure? If so, then I think that this thread might be of interest. If any part of the structure being copied already exists then the action fails unless the $FC_OVERWRITE flag is set. This is a Windows, not AutoIt, limitation and has caught out a lot of people (including me).
