Suppress leading figures in StringFormat?

Recommended Posts

I'm having a bit of a tough time understanding how to get the 'StringFormat' command to suppress leading digit characters BEFORE the decimal point...the documentation seems to deal with formatting mainly after the decimal, unless I'm missing something in there...for example if I have a calculation like .07 - .02 then I'd like to format my output equally as so:

  .07 - .02 = .05   ...and NOT 0.05 as AutoIT seems to default to.

When the 'leading' 0 is automatically placed in the results of my mathmatical calculations like that it seems to throw off any searches I need to do in arrays that consist of floating point figures as above without any leading digits before the decimal.,.

Any heads up greatly appreciated.  Regards.

I would use an SRE to remove everything before the decimal point - like this:

$nSum = StringRegExpReplace(.07 - .02, "^.*(\..*)$", "$1")
ConsoleWrite($nSum & @CRLF)
Obviously you will have to check that there is nothing ahead of the decimal point before doing this. ;)

OK thanks I'll try that...in my case here there will never be anything before the decimal...except a possible "0" value...
