GuiCtrlGetState

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have this line - GUICtrlGetState($cbkUpdateOtherCommissions1). I was expecting it to return a state like $GUI_CHECKED or a 1 or 0. However it is returning 80. I cannot find a reference of that.

I am wanting to save the state to an ini file:

IniWrite("IMTToolkit.ini", "Assignments", "UpdateOC1", GUICtrlGetState($cbkUpdateOtherCommissions1))

And read it back to set the state upon startup of the form:

If IniRead("IMTToolkit.ini", "Assignments", "UpdateOC1", "Not Set") <> "Not Set" Then
        GUICtrlSetState($cbkUpdateOtherCommissions1, IniRead("IMTToolkit.ini", "Assignments", "UpdateOC1", "Not Set"))
    EndIf

What do I need to do to capture the checked or unchecked state then set it back to that state? The code above does not work.

$GUI_CHECKED is a constant, it equals a value, that value is 1. You'd be better off using GUICtrlRead for a checkbox, as that only has 2 values, either 1 for checked or 4 for unchecked.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
