Avoid screensaver

While BitOR(MouseMove(MouseGetPos(0) - 1, MouseGetPos(1)), MouseMove(MouseGetPos(0) + 1, MouseGetPos(1)), Sleep(3000), 1)
WEnd

As I say, I'm cheating with this code.  The code by guinness is actually shorter.  There's actually 5 lines of code compressed using BitOR.  I'm really doing this:

While 1
    MouseMove(MouseGetPos(0) - 1, MouseGetPos(1))
    MouseMove(MouseGetPos(0) + 1, MouseGetPos(1))
    Sleep(3000)
WEnd

Trying to use a computer with McAfee installed is like trying to read a book at a rock concert.

That would work, unless you're using a video player at the time, because it will affect video players that detect mouse movement to show the player controls. I found this out the hard way with VLC player and a mouse movement script like that. Even a very quick one pixel mouse move is enough to trigger the controls to show up occasionally on it.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

DllCall('kernel32.dll','long', 'SetThreadExecutionState', 'long', 0x80000003) ; No clue what this value is?
While Sleep(100)
WEnd
That "0x80000003" number was in the original script so when I copied and pasted it there I didn't check it. It stands for BitOr(ES_CONTINUOUS, $ES_DISPLAY_REQUIRED, $ES_SYSTEM_REQUIRED) in case any one really is that interested.

I've used this script, or something very similar to it, in the last job I was working at when the corporate office decided to put every computer to sleep after an hour without bothering to check if they'd be able to be woken up remotely. This eliminated having to drive an hour and a half just to wake up a room of computers that needed updates.

BrewManNH,

How could you temporarily disable that command to allow the screen saver to come on without having the exit the program?

Take the second function in that script that I got that line from, there's a function in the thread that turns it on and off. Just hotkey that function.
