mylise
Don't know if this is the right place to post this, but here it goes... Code is the example given in help file with my additions. 1) Help file indicates that $GUI_EVENT_PRIMARYDOWN can be used. So I do not know if I am using it correctly but it does not work in code below. 2) Help file indicates that if function parameter is set to empty string "", the event is disable. So I do not know if I am using it correctly but it does not work in code below. 3) Help file indicates that a third parameter ", winhandle" can be added to GUICtrlSetOnEvent but when I try passing $hMainGUI, I get "too many parameters" error. For example --> GUICtrlSetOnEvent($iOKButton, "OKButton", $hMainGUI) Any help will be greatly appriciated. Thanks. expandcollapse popup#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> Opt("GUIOnEventMode", 1) ; Change to OnEvent mode Local $hMainGUI = GUICreate("Hello World", 200, 100) GUICtrlSetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_PRIMARYDOWN, "Click") ;does not work GUISetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_CLOSE, "CLOSEButton") GUICtrlCreateLabel("Hello world! How are you?", 30, 10) Local $iOKButton = GUICtrlCreateButton("OK", 70, 50, 60) GUICtrlSetOnEvent($iOKButton, "OKButton") GUISetState(@SW_SHOW, $hMainGUI) GUICtrlSetOnEvent($iOKButton, "") ; not disabling While 1 Sleep(100) ; Sleep to reduce CPU usage WEnd Func Click() ; Note: At this point @GUI_CtrlId would equal $iOKButton, ; and @GUI_WinHandle would equal $hMainGUI MsgBox(0, "GUI Event", "You clicked mouse") EndFunc ;==>OKButton Func OKButton() ; Note: At this point @GUI_CtrlId would equal $iOKButton, ; and @GUI_WinHandle would equal $hMainGUI MsgBox(0, "GUI Event", "You selected OK!") BrewManNH
You're confusing GUICtrlSetOnEvent with GUISetOnEvent. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
