Juggernaut Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 (edited) Just wondering how can I find out of a certain color pixel is within a certain # of pixels of another color? I'm using the pixel search function and have been researching and trying but to no avail. If someone can point me in the right direction or offer any sort of help that'd be greatly appreciated, thanks! Edit: To clarify, this is what i am attempting: If PIXEL1 is <= 5 pixels FROM PIXEL2 Edited March 17, 2014 by Juggernaut
Moderators Melba23 Posted March 17, 2014 Moderators Posted March 17, 2014 Juggernaut,If you have the location of the 2 pixels then simple maths should give you the answer:If Abs($iX_1 - $iX_2) <= 5 And Abs($iY_1 - $iY_2) <= 5 Then ; Success Else ; Fail EndIfUsing the absolute difference is a pretty standard method for determining the "nearness" of linear values. jchd Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 OTOH if you want to determine whether a pixel lies in the disk whose radius is your threshold (euclidean distance), you'll have to test otherwise: Local $x1 = 23, $y1 = 487 Local $x2 = 24, $y2 = 490 Local $x3 = 21, $y3 = 484 ConsoleWrite("Distance between pixel 1 and pixel 2 = " & _Dist($x1, $y1, $x2, $y2) & @LF) ConsoleWrite("Distance between pixel 1 and pixel 3 = " & _Dist($x1, $y1, $x3, $y3) & @LF) ConsoleWrite("Distance between pixel 2 and pixel 3 = " & _Dist($x2, $y2, $x3, $y3) & @LF) Func _Dist($x1, $y1, $x2, $y2) Return Sqrt(($x1 - $x2) ^ 2 + ($y1 - $y2) ^ 2) EndFunc This wonderful site allows debugging and testing regular expressions (many flavors available).
