How to separate code blocks

Recommended Posts

gspot

Hi,

Sorry for the novice question, but im trying to make the adjustement from autohotkey to autoit

What should be the equivalent to using the { } to separate code blocks?

Like in this example:

if (var=5)
     {
      MsgBox, var equals %var%!!

      Send, {Shift down}

      MouseClick, left, 55, 233

      Send, {Shift up}
      }

 Else

     {

      MouseClick, left, 55, 233

      MsgBox, var equals %var%!!

      Exitapp

      }

Thanks in advance

Just don't use them, this would be equivalent in AutoIt.

If $var = 5 Then
    MsgBox(0, 0, "$var equals " & $var)

    Send(" {Shift down}")

    MouseClick("left", 55, 233)

    Send("{Shift up}")

Else

    MouseClick("left", 55, 233)

    MsgBox(0, 0, "$var equals " & $var)

    Exit
EndIf

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
