Okay once again im asking you big brains for help :)

Im currently designing a GUI with 4 tabs, and i was wondering is where a way to change the size of the tabs them self?

Because i would like to make the Tabs them self abit longer and maybe alittle bit bigger.

I really hope you know what a mean, i've tried to make a illusion below :)

Another problem i just noticed..

The background inside the tabs looks bad when you add in stuff like a slider or a button..

Anyway to fix that?

It doesn't help to change the background color..

Doesn't work on progress controls if "Windows XP/Vista style" is used.
