You may have been infected by a malware bug that was removed and the error is a remnant of the malicious software according to this post -> http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect/forum/protect_other-protect_scanning/error-cgooglegoogleupdatea3x-during-windows/d574f499-aa16-4b97-b63d-9b68b50af356

Remove the file from starting up and the error will go away or you can reinstall windows (which is what I do if I get infected by malware).
