faustf,

I would go for something much simpler: ;)

#include <Array.au3>

$sString = "| Arrivi:  0 ? "

; If all digits are in one group
$sExtractDigits = StringRegExpReplace($sString, "\D", "") ; Get rid of all non-digits
MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "Digits", $sExtractDigits)

; If there are several groups of digits
$aExtractDigits = StringRegExp($sString, "\d+", 3) ; Get an array of all digit groups
_ArrayDisplay($aExtractDigits, "All digit groups", Default, 8)

faustf,

Both of those suggestions are "one instruction" - the second line of each is just to display the result. I offered you 2 possibilities because you did not specify if the digit(s) you want to extract are the only digits in the original string - so you only need one of them, not both. ;)
