Is there a function for capitilizing the first letter of each word in a string?

_StringProper

Standard _StringProper will do the job for the local Windows character set but if you want a Unicode-wide definition of "word" you can have it: look at the code posted in this ticket.

There are some improvements to that function, which a search of the forum in Examples, should bring to light.

Try a Titlecase search.

Titlecase and Uppercase are different things!

Up until now I simply calle it "First Capitalized"

Some characters are different in titlecase and uppercase. For instance slavic languages recognize 3 different cases for some digraphs, each of them having their own Unicode codepoints: lowercase, uppercase and all-caps. Note that in the following 4 lines each line displays only 3 letters: DZ is not DZ (the letter D followed by the letter Z): you can place the mouse cursor in the middle of DZ but not in DZ.

This is contrary to ligatures where capitalization of the two letters in the glyph always have the same case, for instance Dutch letter ij IJ

Titlecase in this instance, utilizes _StringProper but also caters for a few other things that isn't handled correctly.

i.e. McDonald is only Mcdonald with just _StringProper

One version at least (mine) also tries to deal with Roman Numerals and a few other things like - Don't, I'll, I'm, I've and so on.

You can add "leaving leading ff in english (only) proper names in lowercase".

And some say French is dificult!
