Can you use more than one Icon with a GUI?

5 posts in this topic

I'd like to make the icon you see in the Start Menu and in Win. Explorer different from the icon you see at the upper left corner of the GUI window.

Is that possible?

i think so...

like this

$Logo_icon = @TempDir & "\Icon.ico"

FileInstall("C:\Main-Pic-Icon.ico", $Logo_icon)

guicreate('my GUI')

GUISetIcon($Logo_icon)

then use the compiler to set the windows icon

8)

Thanks.

I should have seen that, it's in the list that search brought up, but I didn't until after I saw your post.

you can also change the trayicon

#include <GUIConstants.au3>

GUICreate("My GUI"); will create a dialog box that when displayed is centered
GUISetIcon("C:\Documents and Settings\Gary\My Documents\Autoit files\Projects\AdminTool\wrench.ico")
GUISetState (@SW_SHOW)
$start = 0
TraySetIcon("Shell32.dll",5)
do
    $msg = GUIGetMsg()

until $msg = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

Thank you both. I hadn't thought of changing the tray icon, I can see how that might confuse the user.
