Check if menu without dropdown is clicked?!

Recommended Posts

$GUI = GUICreate("")
$Menu = GUICtrlCreateMenu("Click me")
GUISetState()
While 1
    $msg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $msg
        Case -3
            Exit
        Case $Menu
            MsgBox(0,"","")
    EndSwitch
WEnd

Hey there, I'm wondering if it is possible to have a menu without menu items (the menu is more like a button). The code above should give you an idea what I want to do.

Is this possible?

Thanks.

DarkBanana,

You can do it like this:

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <MsgBoxConstants.au3>

$hGUI = GUICreate("Test", 500, 500)

$mFilemenu = GUICtrlCreateMenu("File")
$mExititem = GUICtrlCreateMenuItem("Exit", $mFilemenu)
$mSpecialitem = GUICtrlCreateMenuItem("Special", -1)
$mHelpmenu = GUICtrlCreateMenu("?")
$mAboutitem = GUICtrlCreateMenuItem("About", $mHelpmenu)

GUISetState()

While 1
    Switch GUIGetMsg()
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE, $mExititem
            Exit
        Case $mSpecialitem
            MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "Hi", "I can be actioned!")
        Case $mAboutitem
            MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "Solved", "Thank Jos for that!")
    EndSwitch
WEnd
