Angelia
What is the syntax to return values from a compiled script. Ok... let me clarify... I'm new at this, so forgive me if I use the wrong terminology... and it may be a dumb question... my apologies if it is. if you type "dir > c:text.txt" at the command prompt... you will get a list of the directories returned from the dir command. Can I return information from a autoit program? If yes, how do I code it? If it is in the help guide or on this site... I don't know what to look up. JSThePatriot
What is the syntax to return values from a compiled script. What are you returning to? What are you getting the information from? Are you trying to see if the script was successful or not?You need to put a bit more information in you question.JS AutoIt Links File-String Hash Plugin Updated! 04-02-2008 Plugins have been discontinued. SpookMeister
Thanks you so much for your response... but I'm a "she" There are no women on the internet. They are just a myth. Helpful tips:If you want better answers to your questions, take the time to reproduce your issue in a small "stand alone" example script whenever possible. Also, make sure you tell us 1) what you tried, 2) what you expected to happen, and 3) what happened instead.Useful links:BrettF's update to LxP's "How to AutoIt" pdfValuater's Autoit 1-2-3 Download page for the latest versions of Autoit and SciTE
<glyph> For example - if you came in here asking "how do I use a jackhammer" we might ask "why do you need to use a jackhammer"<glyph> If the answer to the latter question is "to knock my grandmother's head off to let out the evil spirits that gave her cancer", then maybe the problem is actually unrelated to jackhammers
