So I'm doing an automated testing for my program but it seems that autoit can't get the strings that is inside a treeView control inside a window. The application is made using c#. If you need more information just ask.

Moved to the appropriate forum. As to asking for more information, how about showing what you have tried already?

I have tried using ControlGetText()

I have also used _GUICtrlTreeView_FindItem()

I made sure to use [NAME:treeView] for the ID

I also used the list functions but i don't think it's the right code for it as well

but so far, I still made no progress

but i don't think it's the right code

Quite possibly - but unless you post it and let us see we cannot say for sure.

And when you do post your code please use Code tags - see here how to do it.

Local $balSheet = ControlTreeView("title", "", "[NAME:treeView]", "Exists", "Balance Sheet")

_Assert($balSheet == "1")

;~ ----AND-----

Global $treeView = ControlGetHandle("title", "", "[NAME:treeView]")
$searchText = "Balance Sheet"
$itemSearch = _GUICtrlTreeView_FindItem($treeView, $searchText, True)
While $itemSearch
    MsgBox(0, "asdf", "Found" + $searchText)
WEnd

aside from  ControlGetText  and  _GUICtrlTreeView_FindItem these are the codes that i have used

Also another question, if the Autoit Window Info couldn't get the text, does it mean Autoit could never get the text in any way?
