What you maybe can do is that you add a specific string right after the serializer finished in front or at the back of the packet and on the receiver you check if the send packet has that string. if then strip is from it, if not then discard the packet or save it because the packet is maybe just incomplete. Someone who actually intents to crash your server from now on would need to know this string.
