Hi @nhockm4v :)

Maybe, you could try to hit the "File" from the Menu ( top-left of SciTe editor ), or a key combination of Ctrl + O in order to open the file that you closed ( specifying the directory and the file name that you're trying to open ) :)

Hope that helps :)

  • I will always thank you for the time you spent for me.
I'm here to ask, and from your response, I'd like to learn.
By my knowledge, I can help someone else, and "that someone" could help in turn another, and so on.

Hello,

by saving the file the previous version has been overwritten. If you do not have a backup, there is no way to get back the old content, and within SciTE due to my knowledge, there is no "undo" possible beyond the last "close". Have a look, if there is a subfolder "backup" beside your script, that one might hold old copies of your script.

[edit]

If your have a compiled version of your old script (EXE), *AND* you saved a copy of the code in the EXE ressources, then you can use ressource hacker to get hold of that one.

nhockm4v,

I fear you may have lost that file - but if you download and install the SciTE4AutoIt3 package you can set a number of backup files to keep which allow you to go back to previous versions quite easily.

Hi @nhockm4v

The number of backup files can be adjusted using the SciTE config tool, default location is here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3\SciTE\SciTEConfig\SciteConfig.exe

I thought, that this tool was integrated somewhere in the SciTE main menu system -- if it is, I missed it right now.

Regards, Rudi.
