qwert
I'm investigating how to use _WinAPI_CreateRectRgn statements. I've seen the sequence below in several example scripts and have built a test script to confirm that the sequence works just fine. But the drawn rectangle always has a one-pixel black line. What controls the line color for the _WinAPI_CreateRectRgn statements? I've looked high and low—here and on msdn—but have yet to see even a clue. Thanks in advance for any help. $hMaster_Mask = _WinAPI_CreateRectRgn(0, 0, 0, 0) $hMask = _WinAPI_CreateRectRgn($iX1, $aMouse_Pos[1], $aMouse_Pos[0], $aMouse_Pos[1] + 1) ; Bottom of rectangle _WinAPI_CombineRgn($hMaster_Mask, $hMask, $hMaster_Mask, 2) _WinAPI_DeleteObject($hMask) $hMask = _WinAPI_CreateRectRgn($iX1, $iY1, $iX1 + 1, $aMouse_Pos[1]) ; Left of rectangle _WinAPI_CombineRgn($hMaster_Mask, $hMask, $hMaster_Mask, 2) _WinAPI_DeleteObject($hMask) $hMask = _WinAPI_CreateRectRgn($iX1 + 1, $iY1 + 1, $aMouse_Pos[0], $iY1) ; Top of rectangle _WinAPI_CombineRgn($hMaster_Mask, $hMask, $hMaster_Mask, 2) _WinAPI_DeleteObject($hMask) $hMask = _WinAPI_CreateRectRgn($aMouse_Pos[0], $iY1, $aMouse_Pos[0] + 1, $aMouse_Pos[1]) ; Right of rectangle _WinAPI_CombineRgn($hMaster_Mask, $hMask, $hMaster_Mask, 2) _WinAPI_DeleteObject($hMask) ; Set overall region _WinAPI_SetWindowRgn($hRectangle_GUI, $hMaster_Mask) Edited June 18, 2018 by qwert
Moderators Melba23 Posted June 18, 2018 Moderators Share Posted June 18, 2018 qwert, That looks very much like a section of my "rectangle select" code - in which case you will find some lines above which read something like this: Global $hRectangle_GUI = GUICreate("", @DesktopWidth, @DesktopHeight, 0, 0, $WS_POPUP, $WS_EX_TOOLWINDOW + $WS_EX_TOPMOST) GUISetBkColor(0xFF0000) That creates a GUI of a specific colour (red in the code above) and the code you posted just makes 4 one-pixel wide sections visible to create the rectangle you see. So to change the colour of the lines, change the colour of the GUI - simples. qwert
M23, thanks for the solution. I tried all sorts of statements ... pens ... brushes ... all while the set background to 0x000000 was right in front of me. Now I get it. I appreciate your help. .
