Pricehacker Posted September 10, 2018 Posted September 10, 2018 (edited) Hello again! I have tried searching for quite some time now but couldn´t find a single working way to change the class of your GUI that doesn´t include changing it manually after its compilation. First or "AutoIt v3 GUI" is a pretty boring name tbh and i would like to spice it up a bit, also, and more importantly, I would like to identify my windows by something other than its title as it will change depending on some factors and im using two different programs independently as multi threading isn't supported. Any help is appreciated! Thank you! Edited September 10, 2018 by Pricehacker Grammar
BrewManNH Posted September 10, 2018 Posted September 10, 2018 You could experiment with _WinAPI_RegisterClass and then _WinAPI_CreateWindowEx to create your window. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Pricehacker Posted September 10, 2018 Author Posted September 10, 2018 Thank you! However im not sure how to use any of them as they have no examples in then Help file, could you please tell me how to use them kind sir?
BrewManNH Posted September 10, 2018 Posted September 10, 2018 I'd do a search for the functions online and if they still don't make sense, then perhaps you're not ready for this yet. It's not an easy task, and there's no built-in function to do it for you. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Malkey Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 See the example in the AutoIt help file under the _WinAPI_RegisterClassEx() function. This example contains the _WinAPI_CreateWindowEx() function, and registers your own GUI window class. To verify window class, run the example and check the "Window Class" using the "AutoIt v3 Windows Info" tools found in the SciTE menu > Tools > AU3Info. BrewManNH 1
