Jaco114,

The simplest way is to use a button to trigger the action:

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>

GUICreate("Test", 300, 200)
$cLV = GUICtrlCreateListView("Test                 ", 2, 2, 150, 150)
GUICtrlCreateListViewItem ( "Option1", $cLV )

$cRead = GUICtrlCreateButton("Read LV", 2, 160, 80, 30)

GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)

While 1
    Switch GUIGetMsg()
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
        Case $cRead
            $cLCI_CID = GUICtrlRead($cLV)
            If $cLCI_CID <> 0 Then
                $sLVI_Text = StringTrimRight(GUICtrlRead($cLCI_CID), 1)
                Call($sLVI_Text)
            EndIf
    EndSwitch
WEnd

Func Option1()
    Run("notepad.exe", "", @SW_SHOWMAXIMIZED)
EndFunc

If you want to be more elegant then you will need to intercept the Windows message sent by the ListView when the selection changes - but this requires a Windows message handler which means a lot more code. Let me know if you want to go down that route - but please read the GUIRegisterMsg tutorial in the Wiki first so that you can see what is involved.
