Teradata date between code problem

Recommended Posts

I am having a tough time figuruing out how to get the last 15 months of an admt_dt that is date but I want the full month. For example if I have SQL Server code that is similiar to this, I pull in as of right now based on this code 6/1/2018 to 8/31/2019. When I run this code next month it would be 7/1/2018 to 9/30/2019. I am trying to do the same thing in Teradata and am trying this but cannot figure out the right code for the job.

where rqst.admt_dt between extract(Day,1,extract(MONTH,-15,last_day(extract(Month,-2,GETDATE()))))
And last_day(extract(Month,-2,GETDATE()))

unsure but is this what your are looking for?

$Result01 = _test('7/1/2018')
ConsoleWrite('@@ Debug(' & @ScriptLineNumber & ') : $Result01 = ' & $Result01 & @CRLF & '>Error code: ' & @error & @CRLF) ;### Debug Console

Func _test($sp_Dummy01)
    $a_Dummy01 = StringRegExp($sp_Dummy01, '(?i)(\d+)(?:.)(\d+)(?:.)(\d+)', 1)
    $Dummy01 = _DateAdd("M", 15, $a_Dummy01[2] & '/' & $a_Dummy01[0] & '/' & $a_Dummy01[1])
    $Dummy01 = _DateAdd("D", -1, $Dummy01)
    $a_Dummy01 = StringRegExp($Dummy01, '(?i)(\d+)(?:.)(\d+)(?:.)(\d+)', 1)
    Return $a_Dummy01[1] & '/' & $a_Dummy01[2] & '/' & $a_Dummy01[0]

EndFunc   ;==>_test

@jitb, the OP is trying to have Teradata (SQL) code working!

@tinamiller1, this is an AutoIt forum.  You'll have much better chance on a Teradata support forum.  Date & time functions supported by Teradata : https://docs.teradata.com/reader/kmuOwjp1zEYg98JsB8fu_A/HRSJW~hIp98kxYGb_7DadQ
