is there a way to have AutoIt specify how to open a file? like say i have a bunch .au3 scripts, but in a Gui i have links to them, but instead of running them in autoit3.exe I want them to open in Scite.

How do i do that?

The below should work... make the FileChangeDir() wherever your file is located. That will save you from having to play with "'"quotes"'".

FileChangeDir(@MyDocumentsDir & "\AutoIt")
Run('C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\SciTE\SciTE.exe test.au3')

I hope this helps some,
