A few newbie questions ...

4 posts in this topic

Hello everyone,

Completely new to this site and AutoIT. I have about 7 years of experience with WinRunner.

I've just downloaded AutoIt and started taking a look at it. Reading the docs and FAQ now too.

A had a couple quick questions I was hoping someone could help me with.

Does AutoIt allow recording of actions in a way similar to WinRunner or other tools? Or must everything be scripted by hand?

Does AutoIT work with both browser based apps, and standard windows apps?

Anything else notable I didn't even think to ask? ;-)

Thanks very much in advance!

For recording optons, Download SciTe, and look in the Tools menu for Au3Record.

For Browser based options look at:

IE.au3

IE_Help.au3

IE_Builder.au3
