J_Y_C
So, I am trying to understand how to use the com objects. I want to create a WM window and play a video. All I can get to work is the version info:$FileName = "d:\temp\au\test1.avi" $myWMP = ObjCreate("WMPlayer.ocx") $val=$myWMP.versionInfo MsgBox(0,"QC",$val)oÝ÷ Ølyé¬)"ÈhºW[y¦åzÚ¢Øb³Øb±«¢+ØÀÌØí¥±9µôÅÕ½ÐíèÀäÈíѵÀÀäÈíÔÀäÈíÑÍй¥¸ÅÕ½Ðì(ÀÌØíµå]5@ô=© ÉÑ ÅÕ½Ðí]5A±åȹ½àÅÕ½Ðì¤(ÀÌØíµå]5@¹ ½¹Ñɽ±Ì¹Á±ä ÀÌØí¥±9µ¤But it throws an error:(3) : ==> The requested action with this object has failed.:Why is this? DaleHohm
It is nearly impossible to "guess" what the object model for an automation interface will look like. You are on the right track, but I would suggest you Google "+WMPlayer.ocx +CreateObject" and you'll get a trail to follow. GaryFrost
might want to look at http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.ph...st&p=219338 SciTE for AutoItDirections for Submitting Standard UDFs Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference. J_Y_C
Ah ha, the code is back, awesome. Yes, that will help a ton. I don't know if this should/does make a difference, but I was reading the object properties from here:http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default....olreference.aspBut this is for WMP10, and I have 9. I can't run 10 on this machine, it's XP-only.
