(Starting again, http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.ph...p;#entry224004)

I made some rather disturbing progress.. rather VERY disturbing -.- ...

WILL NOT FREEZE

#include <GUIConstants.au3>
GUICreate("OMGWTFRUNESCAPE",1024,710,0,0)
$Explorer = ObjCreate("Shell.Explorer.2")
$Object = GUICtrlCreateObj($Explorer,0,12,1022,698)
$Explorer.navigate("http://www.jagex.com/lang/en/aff/runescape/fleas.ws")
GUISetstate()
while 1
    $msg = GUIGetMsg()
    If $msg = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Then Exit
WEnd

WILL FREEZE!

;

#include <GUIConstants.au3>
GUICreate("OMGWTFRUNESCAPE",1024,710,0,0)
GUICtrlCreateLabel("test",0,0,1024,12,"","")
$Explorer = ObjCreate("Shell.Explorer.2")
$Object = GUICtrlCreateObj($Explorer,0,12,1022,698)
$Explorer.navigate("http://www.jagex.com/lang/en/aff/runescape/fleas.ws")
GUISetstate()
while 1
    $msg = GUIGetMsg()
    If $msg = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Then Exit
WEnd

I remind you before testing the second one that the hotkey to close is CTRL+Break (pause|break key) in SciTE, else you will need to CTRL+Alt+Delete

To reproduce the bug simply wait until the java applet has started, and then change windows... Just take it out of focus for 1 second and it will freeze. Why? I have no idea... but it only does it if you include a GUICtrl (excluding the initial obj...)

If anyone has any ideas, suggestions... etc... let me know... I really need the window to work with controls

OK, I figured it out... its a pretty wierd workaround. Make a popup GUI with no borders/closebuttons and give it the toolwindow style so it has no button on the taskbar. Then put the obj across the entire window, and move it to the 0,0 coordinate of the main window. Just set it always on top and hide it when neither of those windows are active, and it wont freeze! :P
