Get Directory, Read Files, then Search for string

3 posts in this topic

I Want To:

1) List the file names in 3 Directories

2) Read those file names for HotKeySet occurences

3) Then count the number of times "HotKeySet" occurs in those 3 Directories

4) View/Export all the HotKeySets occurences

So Far I have Accomlished:

1) List the file names in 3 Directories

I Don't Know:

1) How to read the ENTIRE list of file names for HotKeySet occurences

2) How to count the number of occurences of a String.

Thanks In Advance.

#Include <File.au3>
#Include <Array.au3>

; Read the file names in Directory
; Read those file names for HotKeySet
; Count use of HotKeySet
; Print or export all the HotKeySets

$sFilter = "*.au3"
$FileList1=_FileListToArray(@MyDocumentsDir & "\Personal\AutoIt\MY UDF\Invoices", $sFilter)
If (Not IsArray($FileList1)) and (@Error=1) Then
    MsgBox (0,"","No Files\Folders Found.")
    Exit
EndIf
_ArrayDisplay($FileList1,"$FileList")

$FileList2=_FileListToArray(@MyDocumentsDir & "\Personal\AutoIt\MY UDF\Tasks UDF", $sFilter)
If (Not IsArray($FileList2)) and (@Error=1) Then
    MsgBox (0,"","No Files\Folders Found.")
    Exit
EndIf
_ArrayDisplay($FileList2,"$FileList")

$FileList3=_FileListToArray(@MyDocumentsDir & "\Personal\AutoIt\MY UDF\Write Proposal UDF", $sFilter)
If (Not IsArray($FileList3)) and (@Error=1) Then
    MsgBox (0,"","No Files\Folders Found.")
    Exit
EndIf
_ArrayDisplay($FileList3,"$FileList")

;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Don't know what to do here;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
$FileRead1 = FileRead(@MyDocumentsDir & $FileList1)
$FileRead2 = FileRead(@MyDocumentsDir & $FileList2)
$FileRead3 = FileRead(@MyDocumentsDir & $FileList3)

StringInStr ($FileRead1, "HotKeySet")
StringInStr ($FileRead2, "HotKeySet")
StringInStr ($FileRead3, "HotKeySet")
