Heres where it opens the file and reads the first line to create the last score:

$lev1rec = FileOpen ( "\Scores\RecentLevel1Scores.txt", 0)
$lastrec = FileReadLine ( $lev1rec, 1)oÝ÷ Ø@ÈL7¥z×j¶§v´÷aÞë0êÞ¶¯j¸è¬ºÇ{azÇ+ZºÚ"µÍÌÍÑÜÝHÕRPÝÜX]QÜÝ

So where di i go wrong???

Did you try to use the full path? I notice your using a '\' in the first example of "Scores\RecentLevel1Scores.txt" but not in the last. Did you FileClose() the first instance of FileOpen()? Are you using SciTe Editor?

If you want help, post the script, not snippets of it.

Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.
