How to get URL from from IE browser

Recommended Posts

I have just started using IE.au3 functions. Need some help from you guys.

After opening IE, is there a function(in IE.au3 or elsewhere) that would return the URL, IE is pointing to?

Assume that some homepage(yahoo!) has already been set.

$oIE = IECreate("test");

$url = $oIE.document.location;

i believe thats it, not tested.

I believe _IEPropertyGet

Both will work... _IEPropertyGet(object, "locationurl") is you use the _IE routine (the benefit of which is that it does type checking, object conversion and error reporting).

IE.au3 issues with Vista - Workarounds

SciTe Debug mode - it's magic: #AutoIt3Wrapper_run_debug_mode=Y Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?

Reproducer: a small (the smallest?) piece of stand-alone code that demonstrates your trouble
