How Can i get Aut2exe to open? It wont find it and then it wont execute. WHY?

What I tried:

Run ( "Aut2Exe.exe", @ProgramFilesDir & "\AutoIt3\Aut2Exe\")oÝ÷ Ûú®¢×zeyÚ-«Z[azئzØ^±çZÊËì(®H§Ø«yËh¯(¬mçbç-¢¼êk¢
Úë²Ú,yªÜú+¶Åç.µ¦åxb²Ø^v*ÞrÚ+ÊØZ¶Ø^{ºÖëajجmè§ì^^vÚÞjÛ²º(¶êhì^rëb¢î!ü¨¹Ú-«m殶±Êâ¦Ü"[j·!~ÀºÝÅç±z)â¶Êè¢×bç-¢¼Ü(m~)ÝÐèjëh×6
Run (@ProgramFilesDir & "\AutoIt3\Aut2Exe\Aut2Exe.exe")

The working directory aka root directory of an executable is the directory that it is in(by default). So, the root directory for the above code I just posted is in fact @ProgramFilesDir & "\AutoIt3\Aut2Exe\".

Just want to make sure that it is clear to everyone out there. It is frustrating when I see people on the forum making similar or in fact the very same mistakes over and over again due to a misunderstanding.

People do that all the time these days.

The working directory is not the directory the program uses to search for the executable. It is the directory that the executable that is being executed treats as root upon execution.

If you do that, the autoit script will search for Aut2Exe.exe in its root directory and won't find it.

Do:

Run (@ProgramFilesDir & "\AutoIt3\Aut2Exe\Aut2Exe.exe")
