It is the directory that the executable that is being executed treats as root upon execution. If you do that, the autoit script will search for Aut2Exe.exe in its root directory and won't find it. Do: Run (@ProgramFilesDir & "\AutoIt3\Aut2Exe\Aut2Exe.exe") The working directory aka root directory of an executable is the directory that it is in(by default).
