Um i'll try to relliterate:

Say you right click on a link and go save target as. Instead of the deafult IE downloader, a custom program to opens.

Sorry for my misunderstanding.

What about FlashGet and similar other programs?

In AutoIt I don't know.

ummm...why do you want to do that? If you are attempting to do that in IE, it is specifically designed NOT to do that for security reasons. If you wouldn't mind, would you elaborate on what you are attempting?

Custom Downloader. JUST FOR ME!

I want to know more when im downloading...

dumb question....but it is just a couple of clicks, and it allows you select where it goes. Are you looking to run it just by clicking the link? That is dangerous. One wrong move....BOOM.

Been there, seen it :) , bought a t-shirt, didn't fit, took it back, got another one, had a stain, got a third one, and a coke slurpy.

I think i create a GUI to open when the downloader is run and the stats to be displayed there. (Or something simmilar.)
