override another window?

my specific question is this.

does autoit have the capability of preventing a window to be closed via the "X" in the right hand corner of a window?

i would like to know because....

Everytime i let someone use my computer they close my MIRC window.

I just let them on for a second to "look something up"...

I have even told some of them not to close it and they do it anyways "accidentally".

this does not occur often as I live alone.. but I have guests over periodically.

I would rather not make a seperate user account... but i will if necessary.

any positive suggestions welcomed.

Thanks.

Hi,

there are many ways achieving your goal, but do you want to start an Autoit script before the guests use you pc?

1. Script for restart

2. Script that prevents clicking the x

3. Script hides your program ans shows by Hotkey

4. and so on

So long,

Mega

Scripts & functions Organize Includes Let Scite organize the include files

Yahtzee The game "Yahtzee" (Kniffel, DiceLion)

LoginWrapper Secure scripts by adding a query (authentication)

_RunOnlyOnThis UDF Make sure that a script can only be executed on ... (Windows / HD / ...)

Internet-Café Server/Client Application Open CD, Start Browser, Lock remote client, etc.

MultipleFuncsWithOneHotkey Start different funcs by hitting one hotkey different times

just looking at a post i just made in another thread... gave me an idea.

i should just hide the window.. then they cant close it to see it.

great.

i leave my computer on 24/7 and leave an irc chatroom open and i like to view what i missed while im away.

when someone closes that window i lost all that info.

no matter... this shoulud work out fine now. thanks.
