Transparent Checkboxes...

7 posts in this topic

Alright, I'm making a gui that has my own background, however when I put a checkbox on it the checkbox won't blend it so it looks horrible... Any ideas?

#include <GUIConstants.au3>

GuiCreate("Testing")
GUICtrlCreatePic(@ScriptDir & "\Reminder - Background.JPG", 0, 0, 540, 465)
GuiCtrlSetState(-1, $GUI_DISABLE)
GuiCtrlCreateCheckBox("Testing back ground color as transparent", 100, 100, 300, 50)
GUICtrlSetBkColor(-1, $GUI_BKCOLOR_TRANSPARENT)
GuiSetState()

While 1
    $msg = GuiGetMsg()
        If $msg = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE then exit
Wend

And there's a picture attached of the background I'm using...

Someone else had this exact issue the other day, I don't think a solution was made though.

Well, for what it's worth I thought of an adequate solution...

Create the checkbox with no text and the size as 13x13 and then create a label next to it... This does prohibit the user from being able to click on the checkbox text and it is also takes some time to align it nicely, but it's better then nothing...
