Continue calculation...

3 posts in this topic

heyas, I was wondering how I could get a script to continue calculating Pi, this is my ity bity script:

#include <GuiConstants.au3>

GuiCreate("MyGUI", 574, 415,-1, -1 , BitOR($WS_OVERLAPPEDWINDOW, $WS_CLIPSIBLINGS))

$Edit_1 = GuiCtrlCreateEdit("Edit1", 10, 10, 550, 370)
$Button_2 = GuiCtrlCreateButton("Generate some Pi!", 10, 390, 550, 20)

GuiSetState()
While 1
    $msg = GuiGetMsg()
    Select
        Case $msg = $Button_2
            GUICtrlSetData($Edit_1,22/7)
    Case $msg = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
        ExitLoop
    Case Else
        ;;;
    EndSelect
WEnd
Exit

I tried to get it to give me a streaming Pi, but it stops at 3.14285714285714, I was wondering how I could get it to continue calculating it....

also, I realized that it would never give me Pi untill it finishes the caculation (never), so i was also wondering how I could get it to stream it to the edit box WHILE its calculationg?

possible?

~Cheers

Do a search for your pi calculations on the forum (erifash I believe was the username that started the thread) on how to get things done. I believe Larry posted a viable solution.
