Depends on how will you show the GUI later? Will you click on a menu button in the tray icon, or click on the tray icon?

Whatever it is, you will have to call a function that will show the GUI at a point.. Something has to 'trigger' the GUI to show..

think he means it like that:

a gui of a script should be hidden if it's opened at startup, else if you open it manually it should be shown.

Global $sw_GUIStartupStatus = @SW_SHOW
If $CmdLine[0] > 0 Then
    If $CmdLine[1] = "-tray" Then
        $sw_GUIStartupStatus = @SW_HIDE
        TraySetState(1)
    EndIf
EndIf

;GUICreate(...)
;GUICreateVariousContolsHere

GUISetState( $sw_GUIStartupStatus )

Then when the program is run on startup, have it run the executable with the parameter -tray, like so:

C:\Program Files\My Program\MyProgram.exe -tray

I was just typing out the same, but then I noticed you had already posted... Damn, I have to be faster next time.

I like -boot or boot as a command line parameter..
