EndFunc
I want to do DirMove() and actually replace the files.. is there an easier way to do this then getting a file array and moving each object? If the source is the same as the destination and the directory already exist it will just move it inside the destination. If you want to copy a directory and overwrite them use DirCopy and maybe a DirRemove to get rid of the old directory if not needed. EndFuncAutoIt is the shiznit. I love it. MrCreatoR
From help file: DirMove ( "source dir", "dest dir" [, flag] ) source dir - Path of the source directory (with no trailing backslash). e.g. "C:\Path1" dest dir - Path of the destination dir (with no trailing backslash). e.g. "C:\Path_Copy" flag [optional] - this flag determines whether to overwrite files if they already exist: 0 = (default) do not overwrite existing files 1 = overwrite existing files Spoiler Using OS: Win 7 Professional, Using AutoIt Ver(s): 3.3.6.1 / 3.3.8.1 AutoIt Russian Community My Work... Achilles
If the source is the same as the destination and the directory already exist it will just move it inside the destination. If you want to copy a directory and overwrite them use DirCopy and maybe a DirRemove to get rid of the old directory if not needed.Ahh, that is what I want, at least the DirCopy/DirRemove part... It's annoying though, I think there should be an option that actually replaces the files, not just puts the folder inside the other folder. From helpfile:If the destination already exists and the overwrite flag is specified then the source directory will be moved inside the destination. That's the part I wanted to change... Achilles
Would XCOPY or ROBOCOPY do what you want?I've never heard of those... The helpfile says that "DirCopy" is similiar to "xcopy" but it doesn't even have 'Robocopy in it... What are they?
