How to check for Mouse Status (egg-timer)

Recommended Posts

GrahamFrewin

Quick question...

I want to check whether the Mouse is in a busy (egg-timer) state, or ready to accept another LeftClick. I can't find anything in the documentation (still looking), and I've tried searching the forums!

Can someone offer a quick UDF that will make my AU3 script sit and wait until the Mouse is available?

Thanks :rolleyes:

Try MouseGetCursor().

;create an array that tells us the meaning of an ID Number
$IDs = StringSplit("AppStarting|Arrow|Cross|Help|IBeam|Icon|No|" & _
"Size|SizeAll|SizeNESW|SizeNS|SizeNWSE|SizeWE|UpArrow|Wait", "|")
$IDs[0] = "Unknown"

while 1
  $cursor = MouseGetCursor()
  TrayTip("","ID = " & $cursor & " Which means " & $IDs[$cursor],1)
  sleep(100)
WEnd
