delete a string from a file name

I am new here,I have a called F00834e.txt sored in C:\ F00834e.txt : I would like to delete the string "e" from the file name ; the file name has to be c:\F00834.txt . can anybody help.

do you have more than one file or why do you need a script for renmaing one filename?
