Wait Without Pausing?

7 posts in this topic

Is it possible to 'wait' for a period of time without actually pausing the script with Sleep() ?

Hi,

yes. But what else should your script do when it "waits" ?

Sleep?

Check for a file?

...

So long,

Mega

Well it's calling from WMI and checking LoadPercentages on the CPU, RAM, and HD. When it gets over a certain percentage, I have it send out an email. Everything is working great, but I need it to wait so long before it resets a variable without pausing the entire checking process.

You might use a Timer: search helpfile for TimerInit... not sure if that's what you're looking for.

Looks like that gives you the difference in times, I just need something to wait for so long before reseting a variable without pausing the entire script. Thank you for the reply though

Use AdLibEnable() to kick a function that does what you want.
