gandalfthewhite Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Hi, How do you check whether a particular directory exists on the system or not using AutoIt? Like for existance of a file we have a FileExists() function, I couldnt find anything similar for a direcotry/folder. Thanks -Mohit
SadBunny Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Hi, How do you check whether a particular directory exists on the system or not using AutoIt? The FileExists function works for both files and folders. Try the following: If FileExists("c:\windows") Then MsgBox(0,"test","c:\windows exists") EndIf Roses are FF0000, violets are 0000FF... MrCreatoR Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 (edited) Hi, If you need to check if it is a folder (not an file), then use this mini-udf: If _DirExists("C:\Windows") Then MsgBox(64, "OK", "Given path <C:\Windows> is a folder an it is exists ;) ") Func _DirExists($sPath) Return StringInStr(FileGetAttrib($sPath), "D") EndFunc Edited July 9, 2007 by MsCreatoR Spoiler Using OS: Win 7 Professional, Using AutoIt Ver(s): 3.3.6.1 / 3.3.8.1 AutoIt Russian Community My Work... gandalfthewhite Posted July 9, 2007 Author Posted July 9, 2007 cool, I just wanted to check if the folder exists. I guess FileExists does that as well. Thanks
