I was thinking maybe you could GuiRegisterMsg() for the event, but...

From the help file under GuiGetMsg():

No event is fired when the mouse is over a control so GUIGetCursorInfo must be called to retrieve the ControlID.

That may not be the final word on it, better minds may speak...
