Updated SCITE - no autoit highlighting

Recommended Posts

jp10558

I updated to AutoIT 3.2.8.1 today, and decided I ought to update the SCITE for AutoIT as well. I downloaded the AutoIt Script Editor which is supposed to be a customized version of SCITE. I ran the installer, and then opened a test AutoIT Script. NO AutoIT Highlighting! I tried Languages -> AutoIT3... no change. How do I get the highlighting back?!

Are you using Vista ?

If so check the security of the SciTE directory.

Nope, XPSP2, though I am running as a limited user account. I ran the install(s) as Administrator however.

Still check the permissions on the AutoIt folders.

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

I have read permissions on the autoit install folder... Do I need different permissions? What should they be just for use?
