reference folders with dynamic names

4 posts in this topic

i have created a folder on the desktop based on date-time but not sure how to reference this

for further scriting eg. moving/copying files to this as the folder will have a different name everytime

the script has been run.

sorry for asking an easy question, but i can not seem to work this one out.

If Not @error Then

$t = @HOUR & @MIN & @SEC & @MDAY & @MON & @YEAR

DirCreate (EnvGet("userprofile") & '\Desktop\' & $t)

FileMove ("c:\temp", ******, 9)

EndIf

Look at Macros in the help file:

If Not @error Then
$t = @HOUR & @MIN & @SEC & @MDAY & @MON & @YEAR
DirCreate (@Desktopdir & '\' & $t)
FileMove ("c:\temp", @Desktopdir & '\' & $t, 9)
EndIf

Something like that would work if your existing syntax is correct.

Ahh, sorry about that. Stupid mistake. Too used to the autocomplete in SCITE.
