freelancer
I'm trying to get an amount from a page I load in IE. What I'm looking for is the amount after 'Gold: ' Partial page source: <div style="height: 1px; font-size: 1px; color: black;"> </div> Gold: 34,525<br /> Untrained Citizens: 0<br /> The method I used so far: #include <IE.au3> $oIE = _IECreate ("http://mypage.com") $sHTML = _IEBodyReadText ($oIE) ; MsgBox(0, "Body Text", $sHTML) $Info=StringRegExp($sHtml,"Gold: (.*?)",1) MsgBox(0,"",$Info[0]) The best I got it say is: Gold: Any help is welcome Edited December 17, 2007 by freelancer

Moderators SmOke_N Posted December 17, 2007 Moderators Share Posted December 17, 2007 SmOke_N You do not have to escape all these characters, only these: \ [ ] ( ) { } . | * ^ $ + Old habbits die hard... You're probably right, and I don't feel like digging through the PCRE manual to find out one way or the other, escaping it (I assume you are referring to <) to make sure it's not used as a reference point at all is fine for me. Also, your pattern, although it may get the job done, it's a really greedy expression. Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt...
