FileGetTime Huge Problem

Got a big FileGetTime Problem with my photos.

If you watch the properties of the *.jpgs you see 3 dates - created, changed and accessed (windows xp). If you watch the *.jpgs in the explorer, there's one more date, the date the picture was taken. I thought the date "created" would be the same as the date the picture was taken. But ridiculously it isn't!! The "date created" is often newer than the date the picture was changed.... where does windows get those dates from, when the picture was taken, I need to get that date to sort my pictures with Autoit. Is there any chance to get that?

The Date Created is the date the file was created on the disk, not the date the picture was taken. As for the date the picture was taken, what you are most likely seeing is a Date / Time stamp placed on the picture by your camera. In file properties I only see the Created, modified and accessed dates. I don't see a date / time stamp on the image at all because I have that turned off on the camera.

You might take a look at _FileGetExtProp(), which is just a tweak I did of some good code from Simucal. Read the bottom of that post for some caveats.
