martin
instead of using Send, 400 character.... etc i would like to know if there is a command to send the paste (ctrl v) to a box i am trying to get text into. the send section under the help section only gives the {enter} example. Any help would be nice. thanks. The help for Send is quite comprehensive IMO. There is much more information there than just the example. There is this '^' This tells AutoIt to send a CONTROL keystroke, therefore Send("^!a") would send "CTRL+ALT+a". So from that should have been able to deduce that Ctrl V would be Send("^v") No need for a post, just read the help. EDIT:Or maybe you need ControlSend to paste tha text into a control in a particular window. farhan879
You mean something like this? Run("notepad.exe") WinWaitActive("Untitled - Notepad") send("{CTRLDOWN}v{CTRLUP}") Copy some text then run that script. It should work.
