Malkey Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 This returns a number other than zero. $Handle=GUICreate("Hello World", 200, 100) MsgBox(0,"","$Handle: " & $Handle & @CRLF & "Hex: " & hex($Handle) & @CRLF & "Dec: " & Dec(hex($Handle)))

snaileater Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 Why would you need this? I try to automate a gis software (Mapinfo). I need to build a string like the following : $msg ="Set Application Window " & dec(hex($Handle)) where the Handle is awaited to be decimal or, if hexa, prefixed with "&h" ... But i didn't succeed to get the right syntax when keeping the handle in hexadecimal ... Is there any easier way ?
snaileater Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 This returns a number other than zero. $Handle=GUICreate("Hello World", 200, 100) MsgBox(0,"","$Handle: " & $Handle & @CRLF & "Hex: " & hex($Handle) & @CRLF & "Dec: " & Dec(hex($Handle))) yep, it works ... but i thought the Handle returned by GUICreate was already an hexadecimal value ... so i don't really understand why hex() is required ... Thanks anyway.
ProgAndy Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Well, dec requires the Hex value without prefix... $Handle = WinGetHandle("") $Number = Number($Handle) $hex = Hex($Handle) $Dec = Dec(Hex($Handle)) MsgBox(0, '', "$HWND:" &@TAB&@TAB & $Handle & @CRLF & _ "Number($HWND):"&@TAB & $Number & @CRLF & _ "HEX($HWND):"&@TAB & $hex & @CRLF & _ "Dec(Hex($HWND)):"&@TAB & $Dec & @CRLF & _ "Hex()+prefix:" & @TAB & "&h" & $hex) *GERMAN* [note: you are not allowed to remove author / modified info from my UDFs]My UDFs:[_SetImageBinaryToCtrl] [_TaskDialog] [AutoItObject] [Animated GIF (GDI+)] [ClipPut for Image] [FreeImage] [GDI32 UDFs] [GDIPlus Progressbar] [Hotkey-Selector] [Multiline Inputbox] [MySQL without ODBC] [RichEdit UDFs] [SpeechAPI Example] [WinHTTP]UDFs included in AutoIt: FTP_Ex (as FTPEx), _WinAPI_SetLayeredWindowAttributes
