Access emails and save to an archive?

I'm curious if it's possible to write a script that querys and extracts text from my gmail account and saves it to a data file. This could be in any format. Txt doc xl spreadsheet anything. The emails all come in in the same two line format in the body of the email. My objective is to have a database of the information included in the emails in one updating databank. From my knowledge of autoit this would probably be a hellish script to write and is it even possible? Share you thoughts with me if you would.

The emails are contact information submited by site visitors, name and email, for contact list purposes.
